Q1 – We are looking to engage a Mechanical and Electrical Consultancy to design, specify and manage our project, we need a consultancy with the necessary professional staff resource to undertake such a project, can you please provide details.
A1 – As of January 2019 our professional staff resource is as follows,

Q2 – Are you able to provide project details of the experience that your consultancy and engineers have.
A2 – Barbour Consulting Limited undertake sensitive projects for many discerning Clients throughout the UK, therefore we are unable to publish specific project details. The images of the JCDecaux screens located throughout this website are actual images of projects undertaken by us. Our engineering experience ranges from major data hall resilience design and specification through to commercial infrastructure design, specification and management.
Q3 – We have approached other Consultancies who seem reluctant to provide fee details, are you able to provide such details.
A3 – Our professional fees are provided throughout this website, we believe in fee transparency and do not wish to mislead existing or potential Clients – for example, our standard hourly fee is £106.00 per hour, should we need to increase our fees, the website will be updated immediately.
Q4 – Can you please provide details of your insurance.
A4 – We are currently insured via Hiscox’s – Professional Engineering, as below,
- Professional Indemnity £5M
- Public Liability £10M
- Employers Liability £10M
We are able to increase these limits on a project specific basis, however additional costs will have to be passed to the Client
Q5 – What can we expect from the company if we are unhappy with the service provided.
A5 – We are confident that the service we provide will exceed your expectations, however, things occasionally do go wrong, we will, therefore, investigate any concern that you forward to us in writing within 1 year from the date that the service was provided.
