Quality Audits & Defect Reports

Barbour Consulting Limited as an ISO9001: 2008 registered electrical engineering practice specialise in the production of electrical quality audits and defect reports within the commercial & residential market place, the need for this service has grown steadily during recent years apparently due to variable installation quality standards within the electrical contracting industry.

Dependant upon the level of service that you require we are able to inspect the quality of the installation standard, materials used, verify test results as provided by your contractor for compliance with BS7671 as amended and subject to provision of design criteria and drawings carry out an audit of the design.

Upon completion of our audit we will prepare a plain English summary of our findings complete with electronic images where applicable together with a detailed list of any noted deviations from the national standard currently being BS7671: 2008 (Amending to amendment 1 as from 1st January 2012). Our standard hourly fee is £68.00 per hour, including chargeable office based report production with a combined minimum fee of £225.00 per site visit, travelling time plus expenses will be charged as appropriate from our Gatwick or Norwich office for journeys in excess of 20 miles.

longer term contacts attract our daily external (site based) fee of £490.00 plus expenses incurred (Subsistence, parking, congestion etc).
