Consultation, Design and Verification Services
Barbour Consulting Limited are pleased to provide a freelance, consultation, design and verification service, within the commercial environment. We currently provide this service to lead consultants, surveyors, contractors, building services managers and developers within the remit of the verification and assessment of new build projects and the refurbishment, maintenance and development of commercial premises. Our standard hourly fee is £68.00 per hour chargeable in half hourly increments with a minimum office based fee of 1 hour. Our site visit minimum fee is £225.00 plus expenses as applicable - travelling time plus expenses will be charged as appropriate from our Gatwick or Norwich office for journeys in excess of 20 miles.
Longer term contacts attract our daily fee of £490.00 plus expenses incurred (Subsistence, parking, congestion etc). Terms of Engagement.

We can propose suitably approved mechanical and electrical contractors to undertake such projects should the requirement be so, and are pleased to be associated with several National House Building Council (NHBC) registered building contractors.
Barbour Consulting Limited are able to produce detailed performance specifications, design calculations and criteria, condition and defect reports.
The practice includes professional members of the Institution of Engineering and Technology holding formal design and verification qualifications to national standards.
Barbour Consulting Limited operates as an associate of Ascertiva Group Ltd, and as such undertakes assessment and periodic surveillance audits of registered electrical contractors operating within the NICEIC schemes.
